Mouthwatering Food Photography: Stunning, Delicious Plates That Inspire

I’ve been immersing myself in food photography and recipes lately—it’s become a serious little obsession. When you want to improve at something, studying the work of experts helps, so I’ve been poring over food blogs, photos, and videos to learn how the pros present and plate their dishes.

It’s been a while since I shared a Friday Five, so today I’m bringing it back with five things that have caught my eye recently.

1) Pure food porn: a French baker’s site (I don’t speak French) features a series of short videos showcasing exquisite pastries. You don’t need to understand the language to appreciate the craftsmanship—especially when the video centers on a rose theme. It’s delicate, beautiful, and one of my favorites.

2) Speaking of baking, one of my favorite food bloggers, Love & Olive Oil (a Nashville-based blog), is hosting a monthly Kitchen Challenge. April’s challenge is éclairs. I’m both thrilled and a little terrified, but I’m joining in and will likely blog about the experience in April.

3) While researching food photography, I discovered a whole network of food bloggers in the Nashville area. It surprised me how many passionate people there are writing about food, and it’s been really encouraging. I applied to join their network and was accepted—small milestone, but I’m excited to be part of the community.

4) I’m heading to Atlanta this weekend for Derby festivities. I’m looking forward to the trip and the chance to enjoy the events and food scene while I’m there.

5) I’m working on getting better with social media because it helps grow a blog. If you enjoy the content, would you consider liking my Facebook page? Your support would mean a lot and might even spare my personal feed from any extra blog updates.

And with that, I wish you a lovely weekend—may it be filled with delicious food and good company.
