These anti-inflammatory Golden Turmeric Bars are low in carbs and rich in healthy fats. I include cardamom, inspired by Ayurvedic traditions, to complement turmeric’s flavor and add its own anti-inflammatory support. Black pepper is also included to improve turmeric’s absorption.

Golden Turmeric Bars

Ingredients
- 2 cups blanched almond flour (not almond meal)
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- ½ teaspoon ground cardamom
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
- ½ cup salted butter, cut into 1 tablespoon pieces
- ⅛ teaspoon vanilla stevia
- 2 tablespoon maple syrup
Instructions

In a food processor, pulse the almond flour with turmeric and ginger.

Add the cardamom and black pepper and pulse until well combined.

Pulse in the butter, stevia, and maple syrup until the mixture forms a cohesive dough.

Press the dough into a parchment-lined 8 x 8 inch baking dish.

Score the dough to mark 16 bars.

Bake at 350°F for 25–30 minutes, until the edges are golden.
