If you love Almond Joy, you’re in the right place. This recipe adds a frozen, sippable twist on that classic combination of coconut, chocolate and almonds. It’s the kind of milkshake you’ll want all summer long—thick, frosty and full of flavor.

This Paleo Almond Joy Milkshake balances sweetness and texture without dairy. It’s perfect for anyone following vegan, paleo or gluten-free diets, and it comes together quickly with simple, whole ingredients. I tested several versions to find the best mix of add-ins so the shake is satisfying but not overloaded.

Whether you want a dessert, a snack or even a summer breakfast, this milkshake delivers on all fronts. It’s creamy from frozen bananas and coconut cream, nutty from almonds, and studded with mini vegan chocolate chips for that classic Almond Joy finish. Serve it with dairy-free whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate sauce if you like.

- Pour into glasses and top as desired with dairy-free whipped cream, chocolate sauce, extra almonds and coconut. Serve immediately and enjoy.
Notes
– Adapted from the Almond Joy ice cream and mocha frappe recipes.
– *To get coconut cream, use canned full-fat coconut milk and refrigerate it until the cream separates from the liquid, then scoop off the thick cream from the top, or use canned coconut cream.
– **If you don’t have a paleo ice cream, substitute 3/4 to 1 cup of a compatible paleo Almond Joy–style ice cream and omit the coconut flakes, almonds and chocolate chips from this recipe.
